Lindenhurst National Little League is so proud to be bringing the Challenger Division BACK to Lindy in the Spring of 2026.
Welcome to the 2026 Baseball Season of the Lindenhurst National Little League – Challenger Division. The Challenger Division is open to all individuals with disabilities from ages 4 and up from the start of the Season. The fundamental goal of the Challenger Division is to give you a chance to play baseball to the best of your ability. Playing with baseball equipment on Little League fields, Challenger Division participants learn not only the fundamentals of baseball, but also how it feels to pull together as a team, being cheered by family and friends. There is only a $20 uniform fee for playing on the Challenger Little League team because of the generosity of our sponsors.
What is the Little League Challenger Program?
The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.
Who can participate in the Little League Challenger Program?
Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
How do I register my child?
Email [email protected] to obtain the registration form. The form must be completed and returned including all relevant medical information. Once received, you will hear from the Challenger Director about placement and other information. The $20 uniform fee can be paid prior to the first game.
If I would like to help as a player buddy or have my child earn community service hours by volunteering how do I do this?
Email [email protected] to register as a volunteer. Community service hours for religious education, Boy/Girl Scouts, PTA Council, honor society or other need can be accommodated. The Challenger Director can sign off on all relevant volunteer forms upon request following approval to serve as a volunteer.
